A bit About Lyall and Trish
In 2007 we sold our Noosa tourism business and hit the road full time in a 22ft Kedron off-road caravan. We sold the Kedron in Kununurra WA and for the next ten years our home was a 24ft Spinifex caravan in which we travelled extensively in the outback areas of Australia. We just love the outback lifestyle, the down-to-earth people and deserts.
We’ve camped in the bed of the Gregory River north Mt Isa.
On the way we worked at hospitals, caravan parks, grocery stores etc. You name it, we experienced it…..and loved every minute.
Trish was a Checkout Chick at Kununurra WA
We’ve managed very busy caravan parks.
We’ve marvelled at the sunsets at Karumba in Queensland’s Gulf Country.
We took a helicopter trip around Elephant Rock in the Kimberley
We’ve even walked UNDER the ancient Eromanga Sea on Queensland’s Barkly Tableland.
Now, because of the number of birthdays we’ve both had, we’ve downsized to a 20ft Eden Trackvan and an Isuzu Dmax ute (Goodbye to our awesome 6 wheeled Toyota Landcruiser).
but that hasn’t stopped us from doing what we love….. experiencing Australia’s awesome scenery from the comfort of a caravan….. and you can do exactly the same.
We’re doing this and writing this blog so that if you are considering the caravan lifestyle you can see just how wonderful and easy it is to get out there just see what an awesome lifestyle it can be.
And don’t let not owning a caravan hold you back. You can hire quite a range of competent caravans from Brad and his team at Caravan World on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast and do exactly what we do….. without having to fork out $75K to purchase a caravan. And you may just get the bug like the Child Bride and I have done.

We don’t know where we'll be in a week or in a month. We do what we want for as long as we want, always trying out new experiences.
